Scholarship and Financial Aid

  • Under RTE right to education each and every student from 6 to 14 years of age has a right to free and compulsory education.
  • To promote education various kinds of scholarships are being provided to the marginalised groups as well as non reserved students.
  • To promote girl education Gaura Devi Kanya Dhan scheme scholarship is being given to girls.
  • Similarly under bicycle scheme 2850 scholarship is being given to the girls who passes 12th class.
  • Under CM udiyamaan sports encouragement scheme 1500 are being given to the students who are selected in the district level sports athletic competition for their sports kit and diet. This scholarship is given in three age categories under 14, under 17 and under 21.
  • National means -cum- merit scholarship scheme / (NMMS disburses a total of 100,000 scholarships every year at the rate of INR 12,000 per annum, i.e. INR 1,000 per month to the selected students. Under the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship, the scholarship amount is paid by the State Bank of India (SBI) in one go. The amount is directly transferred into the students’ accounts through the Public Financial Management System (PFMS). The number of scholarships allocated to each State and UT is done on the basis of student’s enrolment in classes 7 and 8 and their population in the respective states.
